WHAT DOES FREELANCE TRANSLATOR MEAN ?

By Freelance is meant a person working by itself and independently. In the field of translations is more and more used the expression "Freelance Translator" that differentiates someone working independently from a translator working for a company or as self-employed in a translation agency. On a practical and professional level there is no difference between the two, apart from the term used. Both work on translations and have important experiences in this field to accomplish the translator profession.

What people ignore, is that the majority of translation agencies work together with freelancers committing them translation jobs. Nevertheless, freelancers are often underestimated and not considered competent just because they are self-employed and, therefore, object of a self-evaluation only. What can a freelancer offer? Working independently, the freelancer is able to be more flexible in its job, he can work on a short-term deadline to satisfy the client and at lower prices compared to an agency.

Therefore, a freelancer will give its best to gain the client's confidence in the interest of both.
